Seeing Is Believing

Binoculars make everything clearer. Raise them to your eyes and you can see distance only imaginable. They are ideal for everything from sports arenas to concerts to beaches. are now smaller and lighter than ever before. They are one of the most perfect travel accessories, allowing you to see distance clearly when you travel. There are many brands to choose from: Tasco, Bushnell, and Minolta among the few that come to mind. There are also many features available today. A few of the important ones to look for are coated optics to reduce light loss and glare. This will give you a brighter image with less eyestrain. Many also have soft or rubber fold-down eyecups so eyeglass wearers can see the entire field of view. Waterproof and fog proof are popular with the boating crowd. These models can withstand complete immersion in water and always stay dry inside. The interior optical surfaces also won't fog due to rapid temperature change or humidity. Many of the waterproof models are air tight and dry-nitrogen sealed. Some are corrosion resistant and also buoyant. These should not be confused with water-repellent models, which just repel water from the lens. Optics should be fully coated for superior light transmission. Binocular straps are a comfortable and secure way to wear your binoculars. Some models also come with cases they can attach to a belt.

There are designed for bird watchers. These not only let you see distance, but also give you close up focus capability as close as seven feet. They are also ideal for insect identification. are now smaller and lighter than the older models. They measure the weight of the newer models in ounces rather than pounds. They are perfect to pack along in your lightweight luggage. Whether you wish to focus on a mountain range in the United States, or a museum in Europe, are perfect for taking in the details. Hiking, fishing and hunting, they are designed for dependability. They are slimmer and much lighter due to in part magnesium. They are generally shockproof and rugged enough for any travel you have in mind. are also available with compasses for hiking and wilderness travel. There are models with digital cameras built in. You can photograph a sports event, a children's concert, or any special event.

instantly with clarity. There is no adjustment necessary. They focus instantaneously at virtually any distance. This makes them perfect for sporting events, and nature observations. Even when gloves might hinder the use of standard focus binoculars, the permanent focus is readily available. Understanding how to read the magnification or power field is simple. The first number separated by an "x" is the power of the binocular. It means the object being viewed appears to be that number of times closer than you would see with an unaided eye. The second number after the "x" is the diameter of the objective or front lens. The larger the number is, the more light that enters the binocular and the brighter the image. are the ideal choice for corporate gifts because they are generously received and appreciated by both men and women. Logos or initials can be placed not only on the themselves, but also on the carrying case.

Other terms to look for in your binocular purchase are the type of Len’s coating. Simple coated lenses are a single layer on at least one lens surface. Fully coated lens are a single layer on all air-to-glass surfaces. Multi-coated lenses are multiple layers on at least one lens surface. Fully multi-coated lens means multiple layers on all air-to-glass surfaces. Coated optics is the lens surface coating that reduces light loss and glare due to reflection for a brighter image. These give a higher contrast image, which results in less eyestrain. In order to determine the circle of light visible at the eyepiece of a binocular, divide the objective lens diameter by the power. (These are the two numbers on either side of the "x".) An 8x32 model has an exit pupil visibility number of 4mm, and the larger the exit pupil, the brighter the image. Some utilize more coating layers on the prism of the for more light transmission. Higher quality glass also yields brighter images and sharpness. give you a view so sharp and clear you're completely immersed in a world outside yourself.
